Real leather is a natural product. It breathes; it is warm and has individual characteristics, which are part of the natural charm and beauty of real hide. As a natural product however, it will display traces of its past, such as brand marks, healed scars, neck growth lines, veins and areas of differing fibre density and hair pore structure. These marks all appear in high quality leather and are not defects. Natural leather proudly bears these marks as hallmarks of its origin. These individual characteristics and marks have been accumulated gradually over the years; they are not weakening defects and will not shorten the life of the leather. In fact, they are considered to enhance the appearance and distinguish natural leather from imitations. If you find these markings, you can be confident that you have purchased real leather. In the first few weeks of using leather furniture it will acquire further natural creases and wrinkles as the fillings settle down.
Removing old, damaged glass buffers and applying new ones.
Once you peel off the old adhesive-back. Glass buffer you might be left with some glue left behind. Try to get as much of the sticker residue off with your fingers as possible. A plastic scraper such as the edge of a credit card can be safely used to scrape the adhesive from the surface without scratching it.
After this Rubbing alcohol can be used to remove the remaining residue as it is an effective solvent that's safe for most surfaces. Vodka is a good substitute. Wet a clean rag with the alcohol and rub the residue to lift it off. Do not leave the surface wet for an extended period. Fully dry the surface before applying the new sticky Glass buffer.
Once you carefully positioned the glass buffer, press it down with as much force as possible. You can use a hardback book so that you can use both hands to apply pressure. This will stop the buffer from moving when the glass is placed back on top.
We advise that you use a mild soap/liquid soap and lukewarm water - this is effective in removing stickiness from wood.
Or you can seek help from a local professional that specialises in wood care.
As the glass is held down by gravity, it is not designed to withstand the weight of a person on its edges. It is, however, designed in such a way that if the glass tips because of weight applied to it by a person or object, it will fall back into place and not fall off.

When Walnut is first cut, it will have a muted tone/colour
when it is exposed to sunlight, over the course of a few months, the walnut will begin change to give richer more vibrant colours. (This process continues over several years getting lighter and more golden over time)
Our hand crafted techniques have been used to make the highest quality furniture for centuries and is by far the most beautiful and effective way to create curved furniture. We use many thin layers of wood fixed together under high pressure to create the wonderful shapes. The outermost layers are made with the finest and most beautiful cuts of natural wood veneer. This is the strongest, the best, and the most beautiful way to make wide sections of curved wood.
Using solid wood has several drawbacks. It requires many sections to be joined together showing many non-matching joins (like you can see in a wooden floor). There is a huge amount of wastage of natural recourses. Solid wood cut into shapes tends to crack and split over time.
We are very proud to make furniture of the highest quality using the finest cuts of natural wood veneer.
All furniture except Beds and wardrobes arrive fully assembled. Tables only need the glass tops to be placed on the bases and our 2 man delivery team will do this for you. See Delivery Information
